In a last minute move, I headed up to Tokyo for this years Tokyo Auto Salon. Leaving Saturday night at 10:30, we got into Tokyo at 5:30am, and slept in the car for a good 3 hours before heading into the show. Here are just a few of my favs:
We left the show around 5:30, had some dinner (I ate with Takatori, Kuroi, Teramachi and Jikuya and that made for interesting conversation) and got back on the road. I got home around 1AM on Monday morning and got up at my normal 6:30 to head to work….
So this end the coverage of the Kansai Allstar event. There is already talk of next years event so I know myself and many others are looking forward to it. To close, just wanted to toss up the small number of pics I took at the event. Click here to view the full set.
More updates soon…I’m still not up to date!
So many awesome sounds….I don’t even need to watch to know what car is what..ahh the old days!
I ran across these shots of Tony’s SE3p over on ZT and just had to throw them up. Yet another example of a car that just comes to life when you add BN aero. The white CR Kai’s don’t hurt either. The car is right up there with two of other favorite RX8s of JIC and Ings. You can catch this car in this months issue of Import Tuner. I’ve never been a fan of home-brew 787 liveries but Tony took his time and did it up proper. Looks fantastic.
We plan to use a video camera in the future, but we need to get the 1st few done asap since the school year has already started.
Anyways, I ran across these shots of the RE 3 rotor and 2 rotor peripheral port motors. The 3 rotor is used the GT300 SGT FD3S:
And this 2 rotor version is used in their D1gp FD3S:
I think I posted this way back, but who cares, p-port motors sound so good! This is an example of what a n/a 3rotor p-port sounds like:
